When selling your boat it is critical that it receives maximum exposure in order to find a buyer quickly, for the best price.
Vicsail Western Port is the only boat broker in Victoria with a designated public access sales row where vessels can be displayed side by side, making them easy to show and attract buyers.
We have about 40 yachts and power boats on our sales row, able to be viewed by the public six days a week or by appointment. Our sales office is refreshingly unconventional – a floating office located at the start of the sales row.
The general public can access this sales row during office hours and view many different vessels in a short time. It also gives buyers the option of going back over our vessels to refresh their memories when viewing our extensive range of stock.
Our Commission and Listing procedure
Our commission fee is based on the selling price of your vessel and includes all advertising costs, so you don’t have any nasty surprises when your boat is sold.
Listed boats from outside Western Port Marina, brought into the marina for sale, are stored free for the first three months. After that, a discounted berthing fee of $125 per month applies.
When listing your boat we need a full inventory listing the vessel’s equipment, features and maintenance history. An authority to sell form is signed as part of the listing process. We take a full set of photographs both inside and out, which are loaded onto six websites for promotion. These include the Vicsail Network, Yachthub, Boatsonline, TraderAds, BoatPoint and Boatsales.
Presentation is critical. Your vessel needs to be clean and tidy inside and out. Your boat’s advertised price is worked out once we have a full inventory and have fully inspected the vessel. We will then advise you on how to maximise your boat’s selling potential.
